Or, or Dare I, Costume Design?

The last time I Costume Designed a production was in 2009. It was The Odd Couple (Male AND Female Versions) for Baldwin-Wallace University. It went ok. I found though, that I wasn't a big fan of it, not compared to acting. But my day job for the past 6 years has been sewing at Costume Works INC. I find actually making the beautiful costumes a lot more fun than designing them- especially when we get to do an the especially elaborate pieces for The Boston Lyric Opera (as it happens I am currently building a gorgeous dress for the lead in this Fall's Tosca ). But when my company decided to take on " Or, " by Liz Duffy Adams I knew I wanted to give Costume Design another go. The costumes are period, and very challenging for a Fringe level budget.  And man, it took A LOT of time and more than a little creativity with build and budget to make it happen but, I was happy with the final product. Here it is:
